In this article, my dear readers, we will read about the Introduction of Mouse and we will also learn about an important input device mouse, who invented it and how it works.
Mouse – Mouse is an input device. It was invented in 1964 by Douglas C. Engel vert. It has a left button, right button and a scroll wheel in the middle. By using the mouse, we do not need to remember any button on the keyboard, just the mouse pointer has to click on a certain place on the screen, it is also called Pointing device. The mouse is also two buttons, three buttons and optical. There is a rubber ball under the mouse. Which helps to move the mouse on the arm, rotating the ball changes the direction of the mouse pointer on the screen. A slate-shaped object placed under the mouse is called a mouse pad.
The mouse has primarily four functions-
Click or Left Click –
On pressing the left mouse button once, it gives a sound and selects one of the objects on the screen. For example, clicking on the left button on My Computer makes its color blue, meaning it is selected. This button is commonly used for OK.
Double click –
Double click to press the left mouse button twice as quickly is called double click. It is used to open a file or document or program.
Right click –
Once you press and release the right mouse button, it gives a list of commands on the screen. It is suitable for accessing object properties.
Drag and Drop –
It is used to move item from one place on the screen to another. By moving the pointer over one item of the screen, press the left mouse button and move it to another location on the screen As a result of which the item is moved to another location. This action is called drag and drop.
